The (Boys) East Coast Spring Tip- Off Tournament follows in the tradition of the 15th Annual Norhteast USA Hoops Festival that has been the cornerstone of for any AAU Boys Team...looking for serious competition. This event will mark the first event for many teams just getting organized for the season. The competition will provide you an excellent measure of your team's mettle in the early part of the season. The event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, March 27 & 28.
The (Girls) Empire Allstars Albany Spring Shootout, will once again, be held on the campus of University at Albany. This year the event is scheduled for April 17 & 18, 2010. All game are played on one site...no traveling between games. This a great way to kick off your season, and test yourself amongst some of the best programs in the northeast. If your team finishes 1st or 2nd in its age group...they automatically quality for entry into the Empire State Cup Championships, described below.

The event is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, May 1 & 2, 2010.
The Inaugural Empire State Championships for (Girls) AAU Basketball was held on May 10 & 11th of 2008. This 4th year of this State Cup Series will be played at the same venue, this year on May 8 & 9, 2010. Once again, all competition will take place at University at Albany. Qualify to compete, and play to a championship in one of seven age groups, i.e. 10U, through 16U. Last year's age bracket champions will lead the field to defend their title of Empire State Cup Champion.
7th Annual Redhawks Rumble and Coaches vs Cancer (Girls) Invitational. The event is scheduled for June 5 & 6, 2010. This event returns to the hardwoods at University at Albany for its 7th year. As is tradition with this event, the age group winners have a donation made in the team's name to the Coaches v Cancer Foundation.
The 5th Annual (Girls) Summer's Final Test, June 19 & 20. 2010. at Union College. This event is for 10U through 17U.
This page describes these four events that follow in the long tradition of professionally run basketball events that we have put on over the past fifteen years. The venues for these events is as described above, i.e. the first five events listed above, will each take place at University at Albany, while the Summer's Final Test will take place at Hudson Valley Community College (the site of the girls High School Championships).
Tournament Details and Format:
1. All games will be played at one site, either U Albany or Hudson Valley Community College, depending on the event.
2. Each team will play at least three games in a "pool play" format. The top teams (as defined below in the Tournament Rules below) in each pool will then move onto to single, elimination, bracketed play, to determine the champion in each age group. This format provides for great competition and a true tournament atmosphere.
